4 Reasons to Use Instapray to Ask For a Prayer For Healing or Encouragement

Peter Guirguis Encouragement 14 Comments

The other day an acquaintance friend of mine asked me for prayer on Twitter.

I’ll call her Lisa.

Lisa was struggling with depression because she’s been looking for a job for a long time, but she still hadn’t found one yet.

I reassured her that God had the perfect job for her, and I prayed for her right on the spot.

Sometimes, you’re going to go through rough patches in life, and you need a prayer for encouragement.

Other times you get sick, and you need a prayer for healing.

And then there are those times when you need prayer for God to move the mountains in your life.

The problem is that sometimes you don’t feel like calling a friend and asking for prayer because you’re already feeling sad, depressed, and in the slums.

Plus, many times you just don’t feel like explaining to your friend all the things that you are going through.

Sometimes you just want someone to pray for you, and that’s it, short and simple.

And the more people who will say a prayer for healing on your behalf or a prayer of encouragement, the better off you’ll be.

So what’s the solution?

Consider using the Instapray app for all of your prayer requests.

Instapray is Your Social Prayer App

Think of Instapray as a social prayer app for the worldwide body of Christ.

It’s like Twitter where you can share your prayer request with Christians from all over the world.

It’s like Facebook too in the sense that you can share your prayer for healing and other prayers as well with different groups.

Groups can be joined by anyone.

I’ve joined a few different groups, and I’m happy to report that the quality of the people using the app is quite high.

You don’t get strange requests or meet any weird people.

All you’ll find are people who want to either receive prayer or who want to pray genuinely for other people’s requests.

Here’s a 1 minute video about the app.

4 Reasons to Have the Instapray App be a Part of Your Life

1.  To Give God Praise or Ask For Prayer

There are times when you get a promotion, your kid does well in school, or you receive some unexpected money.

You might just be led to go to the app and give God praise for what He’s done in your life.

Some people do that on the app.

However, a bit more common are requests for prayer for the harder times in life like when you go to the doctors or are having relationship problems, or your boss is being difficult at work.

That’s when you call upon your digital friends and ask for them to keep you in prayer.

2.  To Get Encouraging Feedback

There’s are some features built into Instapray that give you encouraging feedback:

  • People can leave you comments on your prayers
  • They can “re-pray” your prayer which is sort of like a re-tweet on Twitter and a share on Facebook (re-sharing)
  • They can “♥” your prayer request to show that they prayed for you

Another neat feature is that you can share your prayer request to a number of social networks like:

  • Facebook
  • Twitter
  • Instagram
  • Pinterest
  • Email

3.  To Change The Way Things Are Going in Your Life

There are so many Bible verses that talk about the benefits of prayer.  One of my favorite is:

Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

-Philippians 4:6

The very next verse says that God will give you peace that transcends all understanding to guard your heart and mind.

If you want God’s peace, if you want your circumstances to change, then all you have to do is bring your request before the Lord.

When we put our cares in God's hands He puts His peace in our hearts

And thank God for the family of Christ who’s available to pray for you through the Instapray app.

Just make sure you don’t make this mistake that some Christians are making when it comes to apps and social media.

4.  To Pray For Your Unsaved Family Members, Friends, and CoWorkers

Do you have someone who you’ve been praying for a while to get saved?

I have friends, family, and acquaintances that I’ve been praying that they would get saved for more than five years.

Sometimes it’s easy to lose heart and to think that our loved ones will be lost forever.

But we need to stay encouraged and to continually lift them up in prayer.

So you can use Instapray to pray for the salvation of the people that you care about.

  1. I saw on the Instapray instagram account that they will allow posting photo prayers soon!!!! Boom! yay! <3 love it!

      1. Since april last year. The app changed a lot since then. I have met many many new friends around the world. I saw even people meeting and getting married 🙂 I love the repray 🙂

  2. I read your article, immediately downloaded the app. I didn’t even know how to use it and started clicking the prayed button. I even uploaded a prayer myself. Someone actually wrote a reply prayer. It was beautiful. So, I started writing reply prayers too. One woman thanked me for my prayer. I told her I had some experience regarding her prayer request and offered her advice. We started emailing and at the end of the day she offered her phone number. We talk later today. God is perfect and this prayer app can change people’s lives by connecting Christians immediately in prayer. God can bring us together to answer prayers using ourselves to Edify ourselves.

    1. Amen, that is so cool Julie!

Thank you so much for taking the time out of your schedule to come back and share with us your experience. God bless you and I hope you have an awesome week 🙂
