Starting spiritual conversations with an unbeliever or a backslidden Christian can sometimes be hard.
I think what makes these spiritual conversations difficult is that we’re not always sure what we’re going to say.
Additionally, we’re not always sure how the other person is going to react.
However, you can be sure that God wants to use you to influence other people.
What Happens if You Don’t Start Spiritual Conversations?
If you ignore the Holy Spirit’s prompting to start a spiritual conversation with an unbeliever or a backslidden Christian, then you’ll be in sin.
I’ve made this mistake plenty of times in my life, and I’ve had to come back and confess my sin to God.
James 4:17 says, “To him who knows to do good and does not do it, to him it is sin.”
And even if the Holy Spirit doesn’t prompt you to have one of these spiritual conversations with someone, sometimes you just feel an urge to share something that’s on your heart.
So how can you do that?
I share with you how to use the power of questions to start spiritual conversations.
Watch this video.
Key Takeaway
Starting a spiritual conversation with someone is the best way to get somebody saved. Click To TweetI Used to Be A Chicken
I used to be the biggest chicken when it came to starting spiritual conversations.
Earlier on in my ministry, I wanted to start spiritual conversations with the purpose of sharing the gospel.
I didn’t know how to do that, I was afraid, and it always felt awkward.
I wrote about an embarrassing situation that happened to me because I didn’t have the guts to start a spiritual conversation with our mailman.
But shortly after this incident, I began to study how to share the gospel and how to start spiritual conversations with people.
I was delighted with the results that I got after I went through the School of Biblical Evangelism.
Now by the grace of God, I regularly share the gospel with people both online and in-person.
It has been a tremendous blessing in my life.
I’m sure God wants to do the same thing and more in your life too.
Take a Step of Faith
Now that you’ve learned about these three questions, it’s time to use them.
Starting a spiritual conversation isn’t going to be easy.
You might be afraid of how the other person is going to react. You might be afraid of sounding weird.
Or you might be afraid of sounding awkward.
But the truth of the matter is that you’re not going to get different results without trying something new.
So go ahead, give it a shot.
Start a spiritual conversation with someone today, and God will let you see the spiritual fruit tomorrow.

Hi Peter, thanks for an encouraging video! God expects us to share the gospel, in fact He commands us to do so! We just have to find a way, and these 3 questions are an awesome way to get started. If you don’t mind I would share the video with my congregation. By the way, this is my first time on your Blog, and it is a treasure trove on evangelism! God bless you.
Hi Pedro,
Thank you very much for your kind words. I have to give all the credit to God and none to me 🙂
Please feel free to show the video with your congregation. I’m honored and privileged to be used by God in such a capacity. I wish you all the best Pedro with your ministry. May God continue to bless you abundantly 🙂
